5 tips to telecommute productively (and without losing your mind)
Working from home is all the rage. A dream fantasy for some, but a real challenge for others, telecommuting has its lights and shadows. Take note of these 5 tips to succeed in working at home.
1. Establish a schedule
The flexibility of teleworking is great, but don’t let your life go by finishing that report at 11 o’clock at night. Set a schedule and stick to it.
2. Take care of your workspace
Create a corner of your home to work (as ergonomic as possible) and reserve it exclusively for your workday. Do not take your computer to the kitchen while you eat.
3. Avoid distractions
Cell phone on airplane mode, music to concentrate, applications to control the time you spend on social networks… There are many ways to keep focused on work.
5. Don’t forget to rest
Do you find it hard to differentiate between office time and rest time? Try to take moments of disconnection for a coffee looking out the window or to take a picture of your cat.
6. Remove your pajamas
Fulfill your fantasy of working in your pajamas for one day, but from then on, dress in comfortable clothes that make you feel productive. Not just the top in case of video calls, we know each other.
