Centre Pompidou: Malaga's most iconic museum
culture
art
One of the most emblematic and recognizable buildings in Malaga is the colorful cube located on Pier 1 of the port. This construction, baptized -quite literally- as “The Cube” is, as it could not be otherwise, the headquarters of one of the most prestigious museums in the city. The Centre Pompidou in Malaga is the first headquarters of the famous French art institution abroad, a benchmark for contemporary art worldwide.
Currently, the museum exhibits shows such as A Time of One’s Own, by Matisse or The Peoples of Tomorrow, an exhibition-workshop by Jean-Charles de Castelbajac. They also organize all kinds of art-related events. General admission to see the temporary and semi-permanent exhibitions costs 9 €.
