The definitive museum for aeronautics lovers is in Madrid
culture
Did you know that one of the best museums on astronautics and aeronautics in Europe is in Spain? Specifically at Madrid’s Cuatro Vientos air base. If you dreamt of being a pilot when you were a child and Top Gun is your favourite film, you must visit the Air Museum, with 7 hangars and an outdoor area that currently houses more than 200 aircraft. Original planes and helicopters from the 1st World War to the present day, uniforms and models make up this vast collection of the historical heritage of Spanish aeronautics. Admission is free, although you can make a donation of 3€/person to contribute to the upkeep of the museum. A small contribution to the great reward of taking a selfie among aircraft steeped in history.
