Bagpipes, Guinness and an explosion of green: St. Patrick's comes back to Benalmádena
If you’re one of those people who like to go to any party and you’ve never experienced a St. Patrick’s celebration, this is the one for you. As every year, Benalmádena (just 30 minutes from the capital) hosts one of the biggest events around this popular Irish festival. On the 17th March, after the traditional mass and procession in honour of St. Patrick, the Plaza de la Mezquita will be filled with music, gastronomy and Irish culture. Everyone is invited to the party, organised by the extensive Irish community in the town of Malaga. Wear a green outfit for the occasion and come hungry, because onion rings, hamburgers and hot dogs will be on the menu for the day. Live music, Celtic dancing and, of course, plenty of Guinness. The fun is guaranteed. Long live St. Patrick’s Day!
