Valencia fades to black with this 'noir'-themed festival
Detectives, gangsters, murders… If you like to find these ingredients in novels and films, and you can’t get enough of true crime podcasts and documentaries, you’ll be delighted to know that, from 9 to 19 May, Valencia will become the capital of the noir genre. VLC Negra 2024 comes to the city with a multitude of events and activities related to this literary theme, and most of them are free of charge.
Nationally and internationally renowned authors such as Silvestre Vilaplana, Rosa Montero, Ragnar Jónasson and Claudia Piñeiro will take part in different conferences, presentations and debates. As a novelty for this twelfth edition, the Espai VLC Negra will offer concerts by writers turned rock stars, murder parties and a criminal gymkhana, an immersive experience in which attendees can solve cases in different scenarios of the network of public libraries in the city.
