A day in the Valencian orchard: how to make paella at a pro level
Knowing how to cook paella is an (attainable) superpower that will open many doors for you if you live in Valencia. Not to mention what a great tip it is to be able to enjoy this traditional recipe at any time. At Descubre L’Horta, organic garden and paella workshop organisers, they will teach you step by step how to make the most famous dish in Valencian gastronomy. Their facilities are located in Borbotó, in the middle of the Valencian orchard that surrounds the city, where you can spend the day, eat and learn about the culture and traditional life of the area.
The events are designed for groups, whether they are friends, work colleagues or study groups, and the experience includes a paella workshop and a guided tour of the organic vegetable garden. If you’re not much of a paella lover - don’t even think of revealing this fact in the presence of Valencians - in winter they prepare, in addition to rice, delicious calçotadas with calçots harvested directly from the garden. A plan to enjoy the slow life, nature, traditions and local flavour. Tell your friends or colleagues about it!
