Asika: where the flavours of Asia come together
Japan, Thailand, India, Korea… Asian gastronomy is so diverse that it is surprising how well Asika’s culinary proposal is tied together. It’s as if a European restaurant wanted to combine paella and pizza on the same menu (although it has been seen in some beach bars), but in this Asian fusion restaurant, it works. Japanese sushi, Indian curry and Thai pad thai come together in the menu devised by the Yangs, owners of this family business.
Everything in this restaurant, located on the beach of San Juan de Alicante, transports you to the Orient, with wicker furniture, plants, Filipino tatamis and even a terrace with shishas. Outside the menu, you can choose from one of their tasting menus to share: the Bangkok, the Seoul, the Osaka or the Qingtian, with dishes as delicious as the crispy seafood pastries wrapped in kataifi paste and korean-mayo or the tiger prawns wrapped in panko and sesame with sesame-mayo. If you like the sound of it, imagine how it must taste!
