Casa Aranda: the temple of churros in Málaga
For breakfast, for a snack or to face the hangover after a night of partying. Churros with chocolate are a priceless (and delicious) heritage in Spain -and in the world-, and Casa Aranda has been making them for 91 years. In its churrería in the center of Malaga, this family business serves those that, according to Taste Atlas, rank sixth in the ranking of the best churros in the world.
All thanks to Antonio Aranda, the patriarch and founder, who at the age of 23 left his job in the fields to embark on the world of churros with his sister Loli, back in 1932. At that time, the churros were fried in a frying pan, without molds or machines, and although today the business has been modernized, it still retains the charm and authenticity of those years. Churros of all kinds and sizes, hot chocolate and, if you feel like something more substantial, sandwiches and drinks complete the menu.
