Mayson Kaiser: the French bakery that reigns supreme in Madrid
With five locations in Madrid (Velázquez, Fernando VII, Retiro, Alcalá and Quevedo), Mayson Kaiser’s mission seems clear: that no one should be without croissants, pain au chocolat, baguettes and macaroons. This authentic boulangerie was founded in Paris 26 years ago by the young Eric Kayser, where his first store still stands at 8 Rue Monge. Mayson Kaiser is, above all, versatile.
Sweetness predominates, with New York-style cinnamon rolls, filled puff pastries, delicate pastries and, the star of the crown in summer, its iced croissant, a fantasy with artisanal ice cream interior and toppings to taste. But, be careful, because if you are more of a savory person, their sandwiches and focaccias look incredible. Not to mention that at the Quevedo location they even offer a menu of the day. The common base of their varied menu: the quality of the products and the artisan elaboration. Délicieux!
