On route to Turo de l'Home, Montseny's hiking paradise

Looking for a new hiking challenge in Barcelona? If you’re not familiar with the Turo de l’Home route, you’re not long in setting off for the highest peak in Montseny. The route, which goes uphill and has rocky areas in some sections, extends for about 12 km from the starting point, the Santa Fe del Montseny car park. The route is very well signposted, so you will have no trouble finding your way around. A good part of the route is shaded by the leafy forests, a marvellous thing if you’re walking in the heat.

The difficulty of this mountain route is medium-high, so if your strength fails you can stop at Coll de Santa Fe, where people take the opportunity to rest, take photos and admire the incredible views. But, if your energy allows it, the best panoramic view of the natural park is offered by the summit of Turo de l’home, where on the clearest days you can even see the sea (although the last part of the route is the most difficult).
